This is a hard question to answer simply because it's different for everyone.
For me, what makes me love being a caregiver to my little is his neediness and clingy nature towards me. I love to feel needed and wanted. I also love how he reminds me to have fun and often is cracking jokes and being silly when I am much more stoic and serious throughout the day.

As a caregiver, I take it upon myself to take care of complicated tasks and issues for my little so that he doesn't feel overwhelmed while also teaching him how to do things himself and enriching his life the most I can. He gives me a sense of purpose.
