Whenever I slip into little space (which is fairly often) I tend to be extremely needy and clingy. I pout and whine a lot. I also tend to get hurt easier and constantly seeking praise. I always need to be assured. I don't have a caretaker and those around me aren't the type to give me what I need. It tends to be very distressing. Outside of little space I'm naturally affectionate and touchy but it's so much worse in little space. I dislike making those around me uncomfortable. It's a very distressing time and I wish there were ways to deal with it better.

I wholly suggest investing in comfort objects. Comfort objects can range from toys to small items that make you feel grounded and calm.

Comfort objects can include:

  • Soft blankies (I suggest baby blankies or plush ones found at Walmart)
  • Stuffies ranging in size, color, texture, etc
  • Pacifiers
  • Sippy cups ranging in colors
  • Coloring books with coloring utensils for some quiet time
  • Charts of chores and daily reminders for you to fill out
  • Cute and comfy little clothing

Google sensory toys and create a kit for yourself. Likewise make a list of SOS items (mentioned above) that can be used as needed. You can choose a special stuffie to cuddle during this time. Perhaps soothing ASMR videos (on YouTube, some Little types!) will be effective? Be gentle with yourself, make sure you're eating right and enjoying yourself often.
